Kevin and Maria at QuiltMoxie booth at Salon 2010
Kevin and Maria at QuiltMoxie booth at Salon 2010

Kevin and Maria were at the QuiltMoxie booth. We introduced our Jet-Setter pattern at Salon 2010, Montreal’s quilt exhibition which took place May 27 thru 30th. We were very lucky to have so many samples to show from our classroom testing of the pattern.  Thank you for your wonderful Jet-Setters.  Did we mention that it comes in both French and English?

The Jet-Setter was born at the Orange Quilt Bee in Orange County, California.  Hubby, wisked me off to visit Mickey Mouse for one week in May while he was attending some work related training.  Little did he know that prior to our trip and the magic of the internet, I had connected to the Orange Quilt Bee and was determined to stop in for a visit.

What fun!  The ladies set me up with a sewing machine in the shop…  No need to say more.

On my return, I completed the Jet-Setter along with a postcard and sent if off to the Vermont Quilt Festival “VQF” Challenge 2009 to auction it off to raise funds for their education program. It was then that I missed it and made another one.

At VQF, it was selected as the Challenge Viewer’s Choice and the new owner took it home to somewhere in Rhode Island.
